Luz de Vida beans are sourced from the state of Huehuetenango, located in the central highlands of Guatemala. This region is known for producing some of the finest coffees in the world.
Tasting Notes
Exotic & mellow, orange blossom & brown sugar notes, soft finish.
Roastmaster's Notes
Huehuetenango is considered one of the best coffee growing regions in Guatemala, thanks to the dry, hot winds that sweep across the mountains from Mexico’s Tehuantepec plain, protecting the crops from frost. The region’s abundant rainfall with predictable dry season, and well-drained volcanic soil provide ideal growing conditions for the coffee plant. We roast our Luz de Vida to a Medium-Dark level, ensuring a rich and well-rounded flavor that balances the fruited and floral origin notes with a soft, sweet caramelization.
Food Pairings
The mellow flavor and soft mouthfeel of Luz de Vida complements a fruit tart, sliced apples dipped in caramel sauce, or a sweet cinnamon bun.
